NHL Tonight The market has really dumped Carolina in that game tonight vs. the Penguins. I bet a line at Matchbook at 1.5-110. The power rating edge in the first line is probably too great and I would have liked Carolina anyway but the Canes are starting their back up goalie Justin Peters so that might have been the reason for the move on Pittsburgh. Carolina is also on a back to back coming off a win.
I think Carolina has some momentum with a few wins in a row and probably in aggregate better than their record. Ward hasn't been terrfic anyway and Peters has been the back up for a few years. I can't say know much about him but at least he's experienced in this role. I don't think Carolina can afford to mail in a game so I expect an effort from them.
Pittsburgh was performing very well and obviously are good but maybe ----just maybe----I catch them a little slow out of the gate after the holiday. I'll ignore that they could come storming out at home and my own feeling is perhaps Carolina can use some momentum from yesterday and get a good start.
It is a throw away price IMO. And I might be throwing my money away I hope not.
