NHL Totals 3-18 Yesterday split plays going 2-2. Record 4-3 +0.9 units Was-NJ under 5 –118 Last 10 for Was has been under the total of 5 only 3 times with 2 over and the other 5 games at the total of 5. L10 for NJ has been under the total of 5 goals 6 times with only 1 over and 3 games at the total of 5. Both teams are under teams with overall records of 19-52-1 (Was) and 20-38-11 (NJ). Home and road records are 7-28-0 (Was away) and 11-19-5 (NJ home). All games for both teams combined (136 games), 56 games (41.2%) have been under 5 goals, 39 games (28.7%) over 5 goals and 41 right at 5 goals (30.1%). Everything points to the under. However, Was hitting better on PP going 3 for 11 last 3 and 5 for 18 last 5 and have averaged 6 goals last 3. L10 for NYR has been under the total of 5 goals only 2 times with 5 over and 3 games at the total of 5. Mon is an under team on the road with a 6-24-2 record. NYR are pretty even with a slight edge towards over at 17-15-2. NYRs PP have been hitting well going 4 for 9 L3 and 6 for 18 L5. Mon played last night (OT shoot out win) and I see a Rangers victory and over the total of 5. Going with over 5 –120. Pho-Van over 5.5 +121 Pho had 9 penalties last nigth against Edm. If they are that undiciplined tonight, Van alone will cover the over 5.5. Both teams show over tendencies home/away with Pho 20-14-2 away and Van 17-14-1 home. Van are 7 for 13 L5 on PP averaging total goals of 6.3 L3 and 7.0 L5 while Pho averaging total goals of 6.0 L3 and 5.6 L5. Three meetings this season resulted in totals goals of 5, 6 and 7. Looking at NYI-Car game. Car has not scored more than 2 goals L6. Average goals of 3.3 L3, 3.6 L5 and 4.5 L10. Car on PP 3 for 43 L10. NYI on the other hand have averaged goals of 6.7 L3, 6.4 L5 and 5.9 L10. Going to pass on this one.
