NHL Tuesday

NHL Tuesday Interesting card tonight. I'll be short on each game and I do have a fair number of bets but no real handicapped plays I don't like Bachman in goal for Dallas but they are the better team. Columbus off a road trip and a short break back. Usually don't like the situation to begin with but with Dallas on a back to back and a relatively weak goalie I think the line is right. No play and I didn't find any bargains. I have no play on Washington. They're obviously playing better but I still think Carolina when healthy is closer to the top of the eastern conference than the bottom. But it appears they aren't healthy. I see Larry on the -130. I probably side with the Caps tonight but no bets for me. I'm trying to get a bargain on the Jets. The Rangers clearly don't deserve to be this type of favourite at home tonight. They're due for a win that part I agree with but with Nash out and Ryan MCD out on D those are key absenses. Winnipeg has already won 3 out of 4 on this road trip and easy travelling here at the end but still 3rd game in 4 nights. I would take the dog price at a bargain or I might bet a little at the best I can on Winnipeg at game time. Rangers to me should be no higher than -135 for this game and they really don't deserve that. I got a bargain on Sabres PL at SIA so I was walked into that one. No strong opinion on it but Rolston the new coach doesn't have his 1st victory yet. Not shocked by that really and no doubt they could lose this one too. Tampa Bay and Florida to me get some tough games at home as they have cold weather teams come in with a bit of a fan base (even Buffalo I'll say although I don't know that), teams that are relaxed a little from being in some warmer weather (Sabres may not really be relaxed) and I think although I couldn't verify Sabres may be on Father/Son trip here. I think the Sabres will give TB a game for sure tonight. I got the value bet and I don't mind the side. More after 4.

I bet a bargain puck line on Florida but what is there to like about them? Probably that Malkin is out and some hope they can actually win a home game. Other than that a classic cheer for your number to win. I suppose I could play Bingo. I don't see any bargain on the Islanders vs. the Bruins. Best I can do is +135 would like to see better. Islanders another team play their worst at home in front of sparse crowds in their old home building. I'd be on the Islanders if I could be but Bruins have to be in the top 5 in the league on anyone's power ratings and have played few games should be rested and healthy. Their schedule gets much rougher. Still the Islanders do have some game and they've knocked off some top teams (got ripped LW when I posted them vs. Philly) so inconsistent. May get up for the Bruins though might be a close game I'd be on Isles PL if I could get a good bet or the upset win at a good price. Calgary a pretty big dog against Minnesota. I'm tempted to just say Calgary is an automatic bet there for me somehow. However, their goaltending is weak right now but it counters some momentum from 2 wins in a row. Minnesota just not producing struggling on their top lines with inconsistency. It is Calgary or nobody for me maybe a bargain comes up. Vancouver is back from a road trip and that ended on Sunday I think so alert flag goes on. Just 2 days back but Coyotes at tail end of Western Canada trip and blown a couple of games in a row. Still the price is steep as Vancouver gets overrespect on the line. I can't say I'm handicapping Phoenix here but I'd rather be on them than Vancouver at that price. Another sale on the Avs. Got beat with them on Saturday vs. the red hot Kings but other than that game they've been money. They've won a few ML and cashed PL vs. Anaheim went to OT. Tonight the Sharks back from a long road trip. Just don't know what the Sharks have. They had a very good start but they won many of those first games by a goal were fading late in that 7 game winning streak. Now they've fallen back. Analysts talked about a big of age in their roster. Burns out (again) and Clowe suspended tonight. Avs a huge dog here. One thing though is Colorado doesn't seem to have much success against SJ and Colorado's goaltending can be inconsistent I find with Varlamov----that means though might be a good game. I've won more than I've lost with the Avs. They don't win enough to get their own respect but on any given night they're quite capable of winning. I think Colorado PL for me small at best I can do but ML probably something I wouldn't disagree with. Sharks to me just don't deserve to be this favoured over the Avs to this extent. This is the same price as the Kings were the other night.
