NHL Tuesday Night

NHL Tuesday Night There were 3 pretty good dogs to look at for tonight. Detroit, Vancouver and San Jose. The San Jose game I recall being indicated from last week that they might be a good bet as a dog. I should have played them right away as the opened +140 but that number came down. However, it is really come down now as word is out the Blues didn't fly back to St. Louis until today. Apparently they chose to stay in Vancouver maybe check out the scenery but then got some bad weather I guess and I've heard they didn't fly in until this morning. This is worth another notch down so the best out there on the Sharks is +115. The Sharks have a revenge motive in this game as well. It is no doubt a very good spot for them to begin with but they have lost 7 straight and the Blues have won 3 straight. St. Louis is a very deep team even this situation is something they could overcome. I would still like to be on the Sharks though here but at some bargain somehow but in reality it may be gone. The Canucks didn't open the dog I was hoping for against Chicago but the money is on them as well. There are all kinds of off numbers on the Canucks in Vegas and offshore if Chicago remains only the small favourite they are at Pinnacle. 5 of their last 7 have gone to OT and these teams have a heated rivalry from 3 straight playoff series through 2011. Vancouver would love to end that Chicago regulation streak there is no doubt about that. Kesler is back and they're fairly healthy. I don't think their goaltending is as strong as it could be and the value is sapped out of this play somewhat so I just played a small bet on Vancouver. I wonder if it will even hold as a good number. Detroit was probably a good dog play in Nashville as Nashville goes back to back flying back from Denver. But this game has just been torn apart and is almost a PK from Detroit opening +125. The game yesterday an outlier for the Preds and they started Mason in goal. Rinne came in after Mason was pulled so he loses the rest he could have had but I doubt he'll be too affected tonight. Detroit has a number of injuries and clearly isn't as good as usual with the retirements in the off season. Nashville not in a very good situation here but the line is very short on them at -108 on their home ice. I found no bargain on Detroit and Nevada has them as negative juice on the ML. At the moment I think Nashville has the value even on a back to back from Denver but haven't bet it myself.
All good moves. The Sharks do get the win. They only closed +106 so not much value on it but I did get hit for a small bet on them. Too bad should have been on the the original number. Blues go into Denver tonight that is a long ride too after playing last night. They are a small favourite so perhaps some of that is in the line but it will be interesting to see if more money comes in on Colorado. Canucks get the puck line done which was where there was value left. They got bid down to Even money and Chicago only being -108 at game time. That seemed excessive. But that is how much the sharps liked that play but needed a late goal to get the puck line but they added 1 more and had a chance in the shootout. Hawks hang on for Larryk. Nashville held off Detroit. Detroit was the right play from the opener and Nashville went back up to -120 at game time. That -108 and even -105 I saw on them seemed low. Rickj hit the Jets for a nice dog win and the Habs won again as an even bigger dog. Rick Nash out of the lineup for the Rangers yet I saw no movement. Have to think that scratch was late. I'm sure the info was somewhere. They announce those 10 minutes before. Leading scorer out should have been a late move on the Habs. They were probably a decent play as it was at those prices but perhaps not totally obvious but the Nash injury would have made them a really nice play close to +150. .
