NHL Wed 10/20

NHL Wed 10/20 51 Anaheim (+124) 53 Buffalo (-101) Atlanta comes back from a successful Western road trip. Perfect letdown spot. The Sabres started the season with six games in nine nights and they really haven’t had a lot of time to straighten things out. They last played in Chicago on Sunday and they’ve had a few days off to prepare for this one. On Monday, Lindy Ruff put this team through hell in practice. The Minnesota Wild did the same kind of skate on Sunday and crushed Vancouver last night. Maybe 1-2 more later. But likely NO TOTALS. :o
55 Vancouver (+146) 55/56 Vancouver/Chicago UN 5' (+100) If I lose this total, I won't be upset b/c it is a total tout fade. Lu got lit up for 6 goals in 2 periods in Minnesota and got pulled. He was pulled seven times last year. In his bounce-back games, he was 6-1, with a 2.01 GAA and a .929 save percentage. Also, the last 5 playoff games between these two teams were lined at 6 and now they are 5.5 with all of the Luongo struggles on the road? Granted, the Blackhawks OWN this guy, but I think they may respond with their backs to the wall. The Hawks have had to come back from 3rd period deficits in their last two home games (Mon night vs. STL and Sat night vs. BUF). 3 of their 4 wins this year are come-from-behind wins. Decent value with the Canucks. 58 Los Angeles (-1.5 PL) (+150) Carolina on a back to back and won in the Shark Tank last night. LA has been off since last Friday. Carolina will be dragging eventually in this game.
Carolina's first win in San Jose in 10 years, although admittedly they don't play that often.
