NHL Wednesday Night

NHL Wednesday Night Got to go with Larry tonight and make a bet on Ottawa. I'll play the puck line but moneyline certainly offers up alot of value. There are no real bargains on this game so it is universal this line. I know the books don't care that Spezza is injured as I've thought for weeks that will influence how much Ottawa will score and their scoring is down. How can anyone be as good a team without him? The beat Buffalo last night with a shutout from Anderson who made 42 saves. He is a top goalie and quite honestly way ahead of Fleury right now. Fleury certainly can be very good but he hasn't been consistent in quite awhile. The odds are Anderson -150 over Fleury right now as to who would play better on any given night and that alone makes it hard to have Pittsburgh at almost -200. Pittsburgh must get the betting flow for oddsmakers to post up these lines because of their star power. They get alot of NBC weekly games I think and they won the Cup a few years ago. That alone has them overvalued here. Pittsburgh has lost 2 in a row and should be focused tonight and Ottawa is on back to back. Score an angle for Pittsburgh. I don't need to really believe Ottawa will win or not. The value points to Ottawa IMO and all I can do is cross my fingers and hope for the best. It is a free bet on my psyche. I don't need to have felt I bet something and lost and gambled away money. I confidently walk away from the books with value here even without a bargain off number somewhere.
Have a solid number on this game as late money was on Ottawa. However, Michalek did not dress because of injury--a late scratch. It has been a great game now 2-2 end of 2nd. More bad news for Ottawa Karlsson probably best D man in NHL injured late in 2nd period and it looks serious. I have to be concerned that injury is so distracting it might present a problem right away if Pittsburgh jumps on them in the 3rd. Frustrating. Ottawa has played a good game and anybody's game going into 3rd but injury is very deflating and I think coaching staff would be frustrated. 3 of top 4 or 5 skaters for tonight and the 2 premier guys out for awhile if initial look at Karlsson's injury is accurate. They say Maclean is a top coach he'll need to be at his best in this intermission.
