Nobuhiro Ishida vs. Rigoberto Alverez (10/9)

Nobuhiro Ishida vs. Rigoberto Alverez (10/9) An interesting scrap happens on Saturday in Mexico. Ishida 35 the game Japanese fighter travels to Mexico to face Rigoberto Alverez. Both of these guys are a bit past there prime and both could be classified as "could have been" fighters. Ishida the tall lanky fighter will most likely try to keep this fight at distance while Alverez will try to get in on the inside and let his hands go. I agree with the odds makers that this is an even fight. The bookmakers made Ishida a slight favorite. The edges in this fight lean me to bet Alverez. Alverez is the hometown fighter and that is always a big factor for fights that happen in Mexico. Alverez has recently (hopefully not to recently) dropped down in weight class and should be the stronger man in this fight. 1 unit to win 1.2 units Alverez GL
Didn't see the fight. Alverez "won" the fight via Split Decision. I followed one guys round by round coverage. I only agree with this guy about scoring rounds about 80 percent of the time, he called it a robbery. Note my comment below from my write up. (betting against Mexicans fighting in Mexico can be tricky) Alverez is the hometown fighter and that is always a big factor for fights that happen in Mexico.
