Pacquiao vs Mosley (May 7th)
You might make the case that it's "better today" for the fighters, but it was more entertaining (for the fan) back in the 70s and 80s. And yes, Hagler-Hearns was THE best 3 round fight you'll EVER see. My buddies and I paid $20 to get in the Rosemont Horizon. While the fight was over pretty quick, it was worth every penny.
There have been superstars in every decade. Was Hagler/Hearns better then some of Ali's wars? That fight you listed is on of the best but arguably not even in the top 5 all time. I could argue that if Pacquiao fought Mayweather it would be a "bigger" fight on paper. Leonard/Hearns and Ali/Frazer3 would better. Today's boxing is far better then the 70's. I get to watch boxing 50 out of 52 weeks in HD most of the time. Back then we where treated to a bout a month. No comparison in my mind. Sure wish I had caught that fight myself. :) I still get a "thrill up my leg" watching it on tape.
Today's tennis is better too, but the sport was more "entertaining" 30 years ago. Back to boxing, some of those Ali fights were awesome. Notice I said "most entertaining 3 round fight." Those were 3 rounds of nonstop action. WOW.
Pacquiao got hurt early in the last fight he done well to weather the storm - whats out there -350 and upwards would not bet him with stolen money........ big time bread will oppose him 3/4 days before fight respect the marketplace

Pacquiao looked hurt by a body punch in the 5th or 6th round. 99 percent of viewers never even noticed it. Pacquiao is -800 and will close north of -1000.
