The Pete Rose approach?? I know, I know, true +EV players keep emotion completely out of the picture.
However, we are all sports fans at heart and whether we admit it or not, we have favorite teams.
My question is... does anyone here have a "rule" about playing for or against their favorite team in any sport??
Personally, as a fan and +EV player, I have had plenty of situations that I felt were +EV, but I shyed away from either because it was "against" my team or because I felt that emotion may have swayed my opinion for my team.
If you really follow a team, it can seem easy to pick spots to play on or against... of course, the "Pete Rose approach" would be only to play ON your own team!! ;)
