Pittsburgh/Ottawa Tuesday night

Pittsburgh/Ottawa Tuesday night The opening line on this game appeared to be -170 on Pittsburgh and I see Pinnacle went to -156. I think this line has some more distance to go as Ottawa is playing quite well right now and I don't think oddsmakers and bettors have aknowledged the loss of Jordan Staal who was hurt on the weekend and is out indefinitely as well as James Neal---Pittsburgh's leading goal scorer (him or Malkin) who also was injured on the weekend and is out. Recall that Sid the Kid is out as well as Kris Letang and these are 4 key players on their team. Malkin is still healthy but Pitt has lost 4 in a row already and Ottawa actually has more points than the Pens but in 3 more games. Ottawa is no slouch this year and they just split a pair with Philly on the weekend. They've recorded points in 11 of their last 13 road games. Losing 4 in a row I'm sure what is left of the Pens wants to play hard to break this streak but it would be very difficult to lay -156 in this game. I think I might lay -125 and I could be wrong about that. I might have to say this game is closer to PK even in Pittsburgh. It is risky to make these statements and be embarrassed if the line goes the other way but that is where I am. To leave myself some advantage I'm betting +1.5-214 at Matchbook. Pinnacle is even lower and I'm letting a scalper take that if he wants it. I think anything under +1.5-240 is a good bet. And I do think Pittsburgh will only close a favourite of -125 tomorrow. \
Alot goes on in any one event and very hard to get information. This VI garbage doesn't tell you anything. Here are at least 3 key items just for one game that came up. (1) Neal did play. First reported as broken foot he played saying it was a bruised foot. What is it really? (2) Pittsburgh went with Brent Johnson in goal which I didn't expect. He was pulled in the 2nd period. (3) Ottawa late scratched Erik Karllson their top D. Not sure where I would have wound up with my fair line after all this but Ottawa rolled and the line ended up at -130. It is always a good reminder if you're in this game seriously every bet you make is just an investment and needs to be baby sat like a 2 year old if you're serious about winning at this. So I got it right but I didn't baby sit it. Reading that Neal played today in my review of the game.
