Romero vs Mayol and 5 Dimes

Romero vs Mayol and 5 Dimes In the third round Romero pounds Mayol in the nuts. The ref yells stop and grabs Romero who continues to KO Mayol. After 20 minutes they rule the fight a Technical Draw. So I go to 5 Dimes to see what happened with my little wager on Mayol... What??? I can't find the fight in my wager history and no money was replaced in my account. I'm in contact with live help and they tell me it was ruled a loss. Where is the record? Since when is a TD a loss? Live help said they are checking with the wagering department. Why would any site make a decision about a contest that isn't official? Now they tell me to check back later....
Bumpy Bump looking at this fight as they are rematching.
Okay this is a rematch from the end of February. I didn't recommend this fight back then but I think I can now. After watching the fight again a few things seem obvious. Mayol is bigger and has a longer reach. He had Romero rocked for most of the second round after a feeling out round in the first. Mayol was getting the better of it in a slower third round; then Romero hit Mayol with an obvious "cup check". Mayol drops his hands, the referee tries to run in but was out of position, Romero steps forward and KTFO out of Mayol while standing on his foot. After initially ruling the fight as a KO win for Romero the result was changed in the ring to a TD because of the weird circumstances. Another obvious thing that comes out is that Mayol hand speed advantage. His hands and feet are way faster then Romero. In the first fight, Mayol was worried about getting a bad decision so the WBC sent 3 American judges. Again no Mexican judges for this fight but the crowd will certainly be rooting for Romero. One of the judge is a 20 year veteran and won't likely be swayed by the crowd. Mayol can be a bit crude and has a history of head butts but I think he is the clearly the better fighter. Romero has a 33 percent KO ratio against limited opposition showing that his KO of Mayol was a fluke. The bet... 1.55 units on Mayol to win. GL

I scored the fight a clear win for Mayol. Referee took at least 2 points from Mayol. One for a headbutt which there where only 20 or more in the fight from both parties. The other, I couldn't tell you. Referee signal was a swiping motion to his forehead at the very beginning of a round. No clue. Scorecards.... 115-112 115-111 117-109 So I watched twelve rounds and on Judge says I miss judged 9 rounds? Wow, guess I need glasses. -1.55 units I'm told the Mexican announcer had Romero winning 1 round in the first 8 (exactly as I saw it) yet the Judges had him ahead...

some venues certain fighters don't stand a chance, Paulie Mag??? lost a decision to Diaz in texas not to long ago and forced me into glasses
some venues certain fighters don't stand a chance, Paulie Mag??? lost a decision to Diaz in texas not to long ago and forced me into glasses
In general you are exactly correct but I thought I had factored that in. The judges and referee where from other countries. Though the WBC is a Mexican based organization....
5 Dimes is run by one of the biggest pieces of garbage in the industry.
