Rors is making it tough on some folks today with the cut The rain has softened up this track and today for Rd 2, Rors is -4 thru 8 holes and -10 for tourney. Question: U.S. Open Cut: What Is the U.S. Open Cut Rule? Answer: The U.S. Open cut takes place following 36 holes of play. The U.S. Open cut rule is that all golfers in the top 60 plus ties, and any golfer within 10 strokes of the lead, make the cut. Golfers outside of the top 60 plus ties and more than 10 strokes behind the leader are cut and fail to advance to the final two rounds of play.
+3 and dropping. I'd say the under 280.5 looks good here but then I can't get the image of McIlroy taking a walk up to the Masters Cottages in the middle of Sunday play.

If he moves backwards and anyone in the field closes the gap to four or less strokes, then we have a golf tournament on our hands. In my opinion, the most interesing quote after he played so poorly on Sunday at Augusta came from Lee Westwood who said (paraphrasing), "I know Rory very well and he definitely has the tendency to hit a hook under pressure." Can you imagine the press reaction if he doesn't close this tournament out (even from here)?
