Saturday total

Saturday total I played Atl/TB over 6 (-110). Since league officials mandated that NHL refs call interference and holding penalties more consistently, the "over" has cashed at a rate of 27-10-2. Two of the hottest "over" teams are meeting in tonight's contest. Atlanta has run off 3 consecutive overs and is 5-1 "over" in its last 6 road games. They have scored 24 goals in their last 6 matchups. The Thrashers are the 5th highest scoring road team, but rank 27th in road scoring defense. Tampa introduced their new owner, Jeff Vinik, this week.He will want to offer a more "exciting" team to bolster sagging attendance. As stated in my last writeup, the Lightning have recently changed their game strategy. They will try to make the playoffs with an emphasis on offense. They have played 5 consecutive "overs"with 43 goals scored in these 5 contests. They have given up 12 goals in their last 2 games after the Olympic break.Their porous defense and goaltending have given up at least 5 goals in each of their past 5 matchups. Tampa has plenty of firepower with Stamkos ranked among the top five in the NHL in goals scored.Martin St. Louis is ranked among the league leaders in points.Perennial all-star and team captain.Vinny Lecavlier, has had a subpar season, but scored two goals in their last game versus the Caps.Perhaps, the Olympic break allowed Lecavlier to break out of his scoring slump.Tampa leads the NHL in power play chances. If the refs call the game tightly tonight, it can only help the "over" with two hot offenses and two weak defenses facing off. Good luck, charliej
Boom! Another one from Charlie.
Awesome job Charlie... Thanks
thanks for the pick!!!

Post more, or where can I purchase your NHL?
jMarty: I try to post when I have time to do a writeup. I share my plays with members of the "Tuesday Crew" before I post them on this site. Many times, the line has moved too much to post at a WA number.Since guys from the "Tuesday Crew" don't understand hockey, they asked me to just list my plays and not a writeup.I usually offer an analysis on this site so that the member can decide if he agrees or disagrees with my reason for the bet.I don't post plays on any other site. Since Fezz and I bet against the opening numbers in football, it is very difficult to post plays because the number is usually not available.I know that it ticks off members to offer a play at a number no longer available. In addition, I usually let Fezz post our football totals. If the play(s) needs additional explanation, I offer a writeup in some instances. I have never been in the sports advisory business and haven't sold plays. If Fezz ever got into the business, I am sure that he would offer a "hockey totals" product for his clients (just joking). charliej
I know this is not an opinion shared by the majority, but I don't mind seeing a pick at a non-WA number if it accompanies a writeup. What is most valuable to me is if the opinion is accompanied by how high a line is still OK. In other words, you played over 5.5 -110, but 5.5 -160 or 6 +130 is also acceptable (picking numbers out of the air here).
