Shooter's UFC 116

Shooter's UFC 116 Prelims 1st and main PPV card to follow: Unaired Prelims: Jon Madsen (+136) over Karlos Vemola Vemola is a big guy from the Czech Republic who throws wild haymakers and hopes to knock you out. Madsen throws jabs and goes for takedowns. He is a boring, but effective fighter. The boring guy wins here. Daniel Roberts (-188) over Forrest Petz Dave Branch (+215) over Gerald Harris Branch great on the ground and a Renzo Gracie student. Kendall Grove (+131) over Goran Reljic Grove has a weak chin but a lot of good MMA skills. On the ground, advantage Grove. SPIKE TV Prelims: Ricardo Romero (-180) over Seth Petruzelli Brendan Schaub (-280) over Chris Tuchscherer
Main card: Brock Lesnar (-123) over Shane Carwin Also a little on the the Under 1.5 rds. If Lesnar keeps this in the middle and takes him down, game over. Yoshihiro Akiyama (-199) over Chris Leben Leben just fought 2 wks ago so he will be in shape. Akiyama is just better skilled all around. Chris Lytle (-177) over Matt Brown Lytle tries to get fight bonuses all the time and goes away for what he does best. Lytle is better than Brown period. Brown stands upright in his striking. Kryzstof Soszynski (-197) over Stephan Bonnar Soszynski dominated Bonnar in first fight between them. Same thing here. Kurt Pellegrino (+157) over George Sotiropoulous 2 great grapplers often leads to both guys standing and trading for 3 rds. Pellegrino a little better in that regard.
Madsen 30-27 on all 3 scorecards. Unaninimous Decision.
Roberts wins by Split Decision.

Branch loses in R3 and got KO'ed by a slam. Grove wins by Split Decision.
Romero gets the hell beat out of him in Round 1, yet almost finished Petruzelli by rear naked choke at the end. petruzelli cuts him open and hurt him a couple times. Romero gets top position and works for a better one and ends up likely breaking Petruzelli's arm in an armbar submission.
Schaub TKO over Tuchscherer in R1; 1:07
8-4. Lesnar finishes Carwin and the Under cashes by 11 seconds.
