Sony Open

Sony Open The Sony Open in Hawaii is held once again at the Waialae CC a tight flat par 70 course that measures just 7,068 yards. You would expect the players that played last week at Kapalua to have a distinct advantage, but we have seen those players come to this event tired from the hilly terrain and soaking up too much sun in paradise. I was disappointed with the matchups, in that none of the rookie class available or on the board and we were looking to bet against Kim, Beckman, Slocum and Appleby and really did get the matchup opponent we wanted. Jim Furyk -130 vs Ernie Els If you had the good fortune to catch my 3rd round matchup with Stricker against Els, you'll notice that Els struggled with his putting the remainder of the event shooting 74 and 71. Furyk was his usual steady self 68, 68, 72, 70, has been working hard on his driving and we expect another Top 10 finish. Both players have won this tournament in the past.
Round One washed out, better weather ahead the next 3 days...there are good bad weather players like Harrington and DL3 but not here this week....definitely do not like Stricker in bad/windy weather, he puts no spin on the ball.
any plays fading stricker?
not yet, let's see how the course dries out and how bad the wind will blow the next 3 days...
