Soto vs. Antillon (12/4)

Soto vs. Antillon (12/4) Soto is faster, Antillon likely hits harder. Soto is more skilled but since moving up to 135 hasn't KO'd anyone. (4 fights) Antillon has only been KO'd once, but he is wide open to being hit. Soto is a excellent technician but hasn't looked great in a while. I think that Soto is the better fighter and likely to win the fight. I'm just not willing to lay -290 on him in this fight. Antillon is a good plus number and a few of my "guys" have recommended him, I just cannot get there enough to straight bet him. Soto is the better boxing and has fought the better competition. I straddle bet this fight. 2 units on the "inside the distance" at +135. (5dimes) 2 units on Soto to win by 12 round decision +140. (5dimes) The only real outcome that hurts is Antillon by decision. I don't see that happening. Soto is the better technician and has a huge advantage in hand and foot speed. The only chance Antillon likely has is to win by KO. I think that Soto likely boxes to a wide unanimous decision while fighting through a few rough spots. Antillon has a slight chance to win by KO as does Soto. Antillon has been cut often. GL
In what turned out, at least on the judges scorecards, a close fight, Soto outlasted Antillon to win 115-112, 114-113 and 114-113. I had the fight 116-111. Antillon put up a hell of a fight and Soto was just a bit better. 2 units lost 2.8 units won Net .8 units.
