Strikeforce Austin Challengers

Strikeforce Austin Challengers Strikeforce has a weak card tonight on Showtime. I have a couple of leans on this card....Pat Healy +150, he was +185 a couple of days ago vs the undefeated but overrated Lyle Beerbohm, should be a good fight, Healy has fought much better competition. Also, lean on Nick Gonzalez +235 16-8, over David Douglas 5-2, Gonzalez a submission guy can win this fight. But, haven't pulled the trigger yet and wondering if anyone out there has handicapped this card and likes some of these fights or other matches tonight??...
I like Healy's chances but I'm not keen on Gonzalez. I parlayed Couture with Travers for .77 per dollar. Not a large bet to say the least.
Truu good to hear from you. Yes, if you are going to play Jr Couture (-400) 1-0 a parlay may be the way to go. I'm going to play my two fighters with a small investment.
Travers... WTF was that. fastest choke out I can recall. Wow that sucked.

One thing that I think I need to pay more attention to is the weight and size of fighters. How to get that information, i.e., pre fight weights seems telling far to often. Look at the Fedor fight that freak was 50 pounds heavier. He looked like he was fighting a tubby child.
Healy wins but could have went either way IMO. Agree Truu with your take on size mismatch. The weigh in for this card was nowhere to be seen. David Douglas was an absolute monster, bigger stronger, looked like a middleweight vs bantam weight. Fedor had to knockout Big Foot first to have a chance and Fedor was -410!
I had Healy wining the fight. I wasn't aware that the fight was at a catchweight. We'll get another situation tomorrow with this situation. Donaire will likely be much bigger then Montiel. Looking at some Donaire's recent fights he's appeared to be at least 1 if not 2 weight classes bigger then his foes. This is less useful in boxing but certainly in MMA it is a huge factor. It is useful in the lower weight classes in boxing especially when applied to KO fighters. Huge power guys almost never carry there power up in weight class unless they where large for the lower weight classes. Pacquiao being one that did manage to carry the power up though I would point out that Pacquiao doesn't have huge power, he has great accumulation power. Getting those walking around weights or pre fight weights could prove vital to consistently winning. Basically the insider information.
