Tim Coleman vs Patrick Lopez (10/02)

Tim Coleman vs Patrick Lopez (10/02) Shobox, has recently had a few duds for shows, and this may get them out of there funk. Coleman and Lopez headline their card tonight. Both of these fighters are supposedly coming off good wins. Coleman beat Mike Arnaoutis though Arnaoutis lost both of his following fights. Lopez "suprised" a lot of people by beating Prentice Brewer. In retrospect, Brewer though undefeated was never anything special and the win wasn't worth much though Lopez and his crew believe it was a great win. So we have two fighters coming off wins, the quality of those wins, at least to me is dubious. I'd actually give more credit to Coleman for his win though he did seems to struggle a bit with Arnaoutis and won that fight by what some have called a questionable split decision. My notes on that fight had Coleman winning by 2 rounds. The location of this fight is interesting. Both of these fighters are East Coast guys, but this fight is in California. Lopez's management company is based in California so that likely makes Lopez's the hometown fighters. California has a lot of Hispanic boxing fans, and that fact also gives Lopez an edge. Lopez fights in a bit more of a fan friendly style but I make Coleman the better boxer. Coleman claims he's never been on the Canvas, we can take that for what it is worth. I simply cannot see Lopez winning this fight by more then a few rounds without getting a stoppage. The bets I took Coleman +160 for 1 unit. I took Coleman +4 points -115 to win 2 units. I took Lopez to win inside the distance +344 for 1 unit. GL
I added a micro bet on the draw at +1850.

Coleman +160 winner +1.6 units Coleman +4 points winner +2.00 units Lopez inside the distance loser -1.00 units draw loser -.2 units I had a feeling that Lopez's victory over Brewer was a nothing win. I'll have more fights as there are a lot to chose from today. GL
Coleman also surprised and impressed ShoBox color commentator Steve Farhood. “He (Coleman) had four career knockouts going in, but, after watching what we just saw, that’s unbelievable,” Farhood said. “I think if he was fighting at 140 pounds the whole time he’d have many more knockouts.”
