Tournament Matchups Waste Management Phoenix Open The Waste Management Phoenix Open is held once again at the TPC Scottsdale, in Scottsdale, Arizona. The Par: 71 measures 7,216 yards. Kenny Perry is the defending Champion.
I'm very disappointed in the matchup selections this week. Nothing out there on Fred Couples, Trevor Immelman or Joe Durant that I wanted to take advantage of. But on another note..........
There are some of you that are pushing the lines up on my matchups and scalping them back. This makes it difficult for others to get on the wagers. Obviously there are bettors out there that do nothing but middling/scalping games etc. If the number is not there, it more than likely will come back later or closer to tee time.
Back to the Phoenix Open. I've played this course, caddied on this course and attended this event at least a dozen times. The TPC Scottsdale course is always in pristine shape, but it is a bombers track. Look at the winners Kenny Perry, Phil Mickelson, Vijay Singh and JB Holmes. There is plenty of room out there and a little rain on Sat will make it play long on the weekend.
JB Holmes -140 vs. Kevin Na
JBH is a two time winner here. Infact it is the only place he has won. He has a new dedication this year, working out, improved putting working with Dave Stockton and he's off to a good start. Na, we saw at the Matchplay and I was not impressed, he hit it crooked, but he does have a good track record here.
Michael Letzig -130 vs. Matthew Goggin
This is a bet against Goggin, who has missed 3 cuts in a row here in 3 straight years at the Phoenix Open and this season he is not playing well having missed 3 of 4 cuts already. Letzig usually a cut making machine was T12 here last year.
