Transitions Championship The Transitions Championship is held at the difficult Innisbrook Resort - Copperhead Course in Tampa Bay, FL.
The par 71 layout will play 7,340 yards, but all reports have the rough very dense in spots and overall deeper and thicker than previous years due to an overseed, making driving accuracy a key stat.
I did not find the matchups to my liking this week. There seem to be so many A vs A, C vs C type matchups and the prices about right.....and I'm spending much more time right now with College Basketball and UFC.
Matteo Manassero -145 vs Ryo Ishikawa
Why the big price? Check out the link below.

I initially thought that Manaserro at -155 vs Ishikawa was a good price, given the Japan situation, but it has dropped to -145....and the last paragraph about him being more motivated than ever, has me on the bench thinking too much here perhaps.....however, the article is a bit misleading, I know I watched the coverage... His 65 was concluded on Friday morning after he knew about the earthquake news, but leaving the course on Thursday he was already -5 under par!
from WGC website....Among those at 5 under with still more golf to play in the first round were 19-year-old Ryo Ishikawa of Japan and 48-year-old Vijay Singh, who only got into this tournament last week. Nick Watney and Matt Kuchar also were at 5 under.
Then for the actual 2nd round later on Friday he shot 76, then a 70 on Sat and a final round 78.......
I think Ishikawa is going to be messed up mentally and obviously have a heavy heart. His aggressive style of play will back fire on this type of golf course with thick rough IMO. There is a cut this week. Not buying that he will not return home until after the Masters.
Manassero at 17, has one of the best swings on the Global golf scene. He is not long off the tee, but his strengths are putting it in play and a deadly putter.
