Travelers Championship

Travelers Championship The PGA Tour returns to normal playing conditions this week at the Travelers Championship at the TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, Connecticut. The par 70 layout measures just 6,837 yards, has wide open fairways and small greens. Hunter Mahan -105 vs Padraig Harrington Mahan is the king of swing at the TPC River Highlands. In the past four years here he has finished 2nd, 1st, 2nd and 4th. Harrington has just one start in this event which was a T54 finish in '07. Yes, Harrington made the cut last week at the U.S. Open, but did little else after that. He benefitted as did other non-conforming players, that the US Open produced a joke of an event, with crazy bounces and lousy greens like that of the British Open, and thats' why perhaps a European won, Graeme McDowell felt like he was at home and so maybe did Paddy. But, Mahan should be fresher and recall his great form at the TPC. We expect his best effort here in at least the last two months of tournament play.

I have bet alf golf for six years. I know for sure he won every year as I bet every play that was WA. Its gonna take a monster second half to get above Mendoza line. I have minus over 18 units.
This year betting on golf has been an anomaly. We've had matchups that I thought were MIB, like Zach Johnson over Sergio at the US Open, but Sergio birdies two of the last 3 holes and makes the cut on the number and Zach mails it in on the weekend. What were the odds of Mahan missing the cut this week, 500-1? Yet he played like a dog. Graeme McDowell makes a snowman (8) for us in a matchup at the Arnold Palmer Inv and misses the cut, yet he wins the US Open. Yeah, we can go on and on with many many bad beats that we have taken this golf season, but the bottom line is, whatever we are betting and posting is not working. My guys are not perforing and the guys we are betting against, injured, banged up, rusty, poor current form etc are beating/surprising us. So, we have to take a step back and maybe even take a break. I'm not one the hundreds of so called handicappers that just posts plays for the sake of posting plays. This is serious shit. I've never had a losing golf season, don't plan on having one, but it makes no sense to keep banging your head against the wall and chasing the units if things are not clicking, and that is important to realize. If I bet any matchups, I'll post them. But right now, I'm back to the drawing board. We could bet against Tiger next week at the AT&T National, he could have a hang nail and 4 broken ribs and still beat us. The US Open matchups, I thought were the best set of matchups I had found all season and that is why I bet so many. But, all that course needed was the clown's mouth and a windmill and it would have played better. Same goes for the British Open at St. Andrews, I doubt I play matchups for the British, perhaps some props.

I also have had a tough year, 4-0 on tourneys posted here and at your site last few weeks...BUT.. still down ~ 7 units for the year.
also note... daily matchups are really tough to beat. The edge is nowhere near what the tourneys are.
