UFC 117 Picks I watch all fights and make picks but have never posted them before. Going to give it a shot. All odds through 5Dimes. [B]Anderson Silva inside the distance -259 2 units[/B] After his lack luster last fight and riot act read to him by Dana coupled with Sonnen's PPV selling trash talk will result in a finish win by Silva. [B]Junior dos Santos -360 2 units[/B] This guy is the real deal in my opinion. Despite liking the likeable Nelson, I just don't see him finding a way to win. Santos' ground game is underrated, mainly because he's not had to use it. Big Roy has 4 losses, only one by stoppage and 3 by decision. I was close to picking Santos inside the distance (-205) which is the likely outcome but decided to go with straight win. [B]Johny Hendricks -360 2 units[/B] Superior striking and great take down defense equals Hendrinks win. [B]Dustin Hazelett -125 1.5 units[/B] Hazelett has faced the much tougher competition. His great submission game wins this fight. [B]Clay Guida -110 1 unit[/B] This guy never tires, is tough as nails. His weakness has been getting caught in submissions which is his opponent's strength. I see Guida doing his thing, plenty of ground and pound and not getting caught in a submission.

Thanks gents. Got lucky with Silva submission late after getting dominated. Pissed at myself for taking a PPV parlay; Dos Santos -365, Matt Hughes +170, Clay Guida +110, Thiago Alves -125, and Silva wins inside distance -246, for a 17.29:1 payoff. Alves got owned by Fitch. Wasn't even close.
