Ufc 119

Ufc 119 Ryan Bader -165 vs Antonio Rogerio Nogueira...seems this line is coming down, ?? ...Darth Bader too big too strong, improving and all you have to do is think of Jason Brilz vs Little Nog and Bader is the obviously choice. Evan Dunham -190 vs. Sean Sherk ...Sherk should be rusty off since May 2009, which was UFC 98, off steroids and 37 yrs old.......agree with our man Shooter on both of these fights. Sean McCorkle +180....opponent Hunt's record is 5-6, McCorkle 9-0 but most of those were Tuff Guy events, still McCorkle only 22 yrs old and UFC would not put him in there with a 1st time monster, Hunt is a big Samoan, out of shape and a foot smaller.
I have leans on CB Dollaway, Matt Mitrione, and Steve Lopez .......Tru, Shooter or anyone with info on these fighters/fights, please post.
Love the McCorkle pick. Hunt may be just fulfilling his old contract from PRIDE here. McCorkle has beaten nothing but absolute fat tomato cans, but Hunt, while still a good striker, sucks on the ground. Dollaway will win over Doerksen, but I've been burned by CB's terrible submission defense (Doerksen's ONLY way to win) before. I'm on Mitrione as well. Mitrione looked like a putz on TUF, but the guy was in the NFL for 4 years and you don't get in the NFL by being a bad athlete. I took Lowe over Lopez though. I think Lowe is the better wrestler. I'm more confident in Dunham than Bader, but I took them both. I also like hometown kid Lytle over Serra. Also a small play on Stephens over Guillard. I will actually be in attendance for this card. Not a star-studded card, but competitive fights nonetheless.
MMA record overall 6W 2L +2.465 units UFC record 5W 2L +0.465 units WEC record 1W 0L +2.000 units Despite going 1 and 1, got killed believing in Penn at UFC 118. GL Alf and Shooter with your picks tonight. I am with you on two of your 3 picks. Not sure on the Hunt-McCorkle bout. I've seen Hunt plenty of times but not McCorkle. My bets for UFC 119 include: Joe Doerksen +244 .25 units Jeremy Stephens +129 1 unit Evan Dunham -199 2 units Chris Lytle -126 1 unit Ryan Bader -170 2 units

Just about covered all the fights. I'm gonna have to look like I'm on the bandwagon. I bet Bader -170 Dunham -190 McCorkle +185 Mitrone -150 1 unit parlay Dunham Bader Mir paying 2 to 1 on the parlay (1.98) GL
Chris Lytle, is the home town fighter this week, seems in the past these have come in at a very high %, Serra overrated IMO, Tru, Shooter, Hicksey, your take on Lytle tonight?
Lytle lost to Serra by close decision in November 06' at the TUF 4 Finale. After that fight, Lytle changed his style. He's waited four years to fight Serra again and now it's in his hometown. Lytle got the biggest reaction by far at the weigh-ins. People see Serra as a former world champ who is a dog and jump on it. I don't see it here. Lytle will always be an upper-level gatekeeper so this would be the biggest win of his career.
The hometown factor often plays a role. I just don't have a very good read on this fight. Either can win, it is likely to go the distance. I'm leaving this one alone. If I had to pick I'd go with Sierra but it is far to close to call.
Couldn't agree more on Serra being overrated. I've never been a fan of his and have detested him since his coaching time on the Ultimate Fighter. I know, keep emotions out of your bets. :) Lytle looked good at weigh-in and I didn't think Serra looked so good. This is Lytle's backyard. Not a strong feeling on this one, but I do like Lytle in this one.
Excellent info, thanks guys.
