UFC 120 (The 02 Arena; London, England) Main card: Michael Bisping (-185) over Yoshihiro Akiyama Would love to see Akiyama win, but Bisping is way too big for him. The Japanese fighter should fight at 170, not 185. Bisping's wrestling, while not great, is not as bad as many of the UK fighters. Carlos Condit (+151) over Dan Hardy Good wrestler who is an underdog. Hardy has a good ground game and can defend and even put on submissions. His big weakness is takedown defense. Hardy is overvalued off a respectable loss to St. Pierre and Condit is undervalued b/c he pulled out a fight he was losing the first two rounds against Rory McDonald. Mike Pyle/John Hathaway UN 2' Rounds (-136) Hathaway may be the best UK fighter prospect of the lot. He has really good wrestling. Pyle's only chance to win is by submission. This was booked to be a showcase for Hathaway and that's what it will be. Travis Browne (+162) over Cheick Kongo Never been a big Kongo guy. Browne is a really powerful guy that can push Kongo around and will want to fight in close distance b/c Kongo still has KO power at range. James Wilks (+158) over Claude Patrick If this was a pick with no line involved, I would pick Patrick. However, UFC doesn't book fights with the intention of having The Ultimate Fighter winners lose. They want to use that show as a platform to create stars and to fill the bottom of their prelim roster. Both guys good on the ground. Good value here. Prelims: Paul Sass (-175) over Mark Holst Fabio Maldonado (-206) over James McSweeney Lean with Alexander Gustafsson (-109) over Cyrile Diabate, Also lean with Rob Broughton (+166) over Vinicius Kappke De Quieroz. Spencer Fisher should also beat Kurt Warburton, but I don't want to lay -196. Fisher is kind of slowing down in his career as well.
