Waste Management Phoenix Open

Waste Management Phoenix Open The Waste Management Phoenix Open is held at the TPC of Scottsdale. With the weather a little cooler than normal, there may be some frost delays, but from all reports this track is in prestine shape as always and the scores will be very low. The par 71 layout measures, 7,216 yards and is fairly wide open. The player that is agressive and fires at the pins this week will do well. Phil Mickelson -140 vs Nick Watney Mickelson is slowly getting back into form. He loves this event, a former Scottsdale resisdent, Arizona State golf team, crowd favorite and after last week's blunder "lay up" on the 18th hole, he should come out firing here. Watney is no slouch, but his best finish here is a T12, while Mickelson has won this event twice and played in this tournament every year since 1991. Bubba Watson -130 vs Geoff Ogilvy We normally do not like backing the previous week's winner in matchups unless there is solid reasoning. Ogilvy is making his first start since the stitches in his right finger incident in Hawaii. He just picked up a club this past weekend and is going to give it a try. Bubba led the field in driving distance last week (no kidding) but he also led the field in Greens in Regulation and that is key this week as the greens are perfect and good shots will be rewarded.
strange, the Mickelson vs Watney seems to have moved against you ALF, usually not the case. I snapped this one up at -120 yesterday @ a local and it has moved to -125 but better than the -140 release. tgunn
It doesn't look like that finger is a problem for Og's. :(
Perhaps the injury bets are not working for you Burger....surely we wouldn't bet ON the player with the injury. The PGA Tour office has decided this tournament WILL BE A MONDAY FINISH...which will negate all 4th round SUPER BOWL XLV cross-over-sport props with the Phoenix Open.

But if it's already been incorporated into the line, then wouldn't you?

Good luck this weekend... Hopefully 2-0
Losing is one thing. Losing with Burger's commentary takes it to a new level. I can laugh about it now, but it was absolute agony reading each of his entries to last week's golf thread. This week, I'll just read the thread AFTER the results are in.
I love it. I don't have to watch the event and can use my time for other stuff.
Not sure if there is any rhyme or reason to the wins and losses but it seems that the "injury" angle has been very mixed. We did well against Kim earlier but last year got clocked on quite a few. Toms shoulder, someone elses wrist, flu, back etc.
