WGC Accenture Matchplay Round Three

WGC Accenture Matchplay Round Three Rickie Fowler -120 vs Matt Kuchar Rickie with five birdies and two eagles, and if you watched the coverage, he is clearly playing better, striking it better/straighter than anyone else in the field and was longer off the tee than Phil Mickelson on all the par fives!. I believe he will force Kuch to fire at the flags and he is not that type of player. Kuch has had six bogeys in two rounds. Kuch has beaten nobody as in Anders Hansen and Bo Van Pelt and should have lost to Hansen. Ben Crane -135 vs Miguel Angel Jimenez Crane is the ultimate grinder type of matchplay guy that will beat you every time you make a mistake. His short game is superior to anyone remaining in this field. He drilled big favorite Rory McIlroy 8+7 with six birdies and no bogeys, while MAJ defeated Ryan Palmer who sprayed it all over the desert and MAJ lost a hole with a double bogey to Palmers bogey, not good golf in that match. MAJ the oldest player in the field at 47 may now be feeling the pinch. Jason Day -110 vs JB Holmes Who putts the best usually wins in matchplay. JBH won over Els because Els couldn't sink but one putt outside of six feet but neither could JBH. Day has been a machine on the Ritz Carlton Course making nine putts outside of 10 feet and 12 birdies in two rounds. Knocking off tournament favorite Paul Casey has to be another huge boost to his confidence. JBH will make more mistakes especailly around the green = advantage Day.
Wow... Alf I just don't know what to say pal. Your golf season is quickly becoming one of worst series of plays I have ever seen in 33 years. I feel for you. I would recommend just shutting it down. Your "focused favorites" ideology is way off and I don't want to see you hurt yourself or several others that tail you any more than you already have. Regroup, refocus, and rework your strategy and come back next season. Thanks for your efforts and good luck going forward.
come back next season.
I personally hope he does not do this. The season has just started. We haven't even had a major yet. I am getting killed on these like everyone else but I dont think quitting is the solution.

If I recall, his golf plays last year were no bargain either.
Regroup, refocus, and rework your strategy.
Dont diasgree with you here just not on the quitting and calling it a season bit. I think Alf would agree that this has not been a good season but he has shown himself to be a good capper and those types usually adapt and can come back. I hope so!!
I was hoping Day could pull that one out. Let's get back on track tomorrow Alf.
I don't understand this thinking. Scaling your bets back or not following at all based on the results makes more sense than saying stop putting up picks.
6-6 this week in match play, down a couple units isn't a complete disaster. Day and Fowler matches were both there for the taking. Liked the logic on the Crane bet but got buried. Tough runs happen.

Day never really had a chance, it stayed close because Holmes wouldn't/couldn't close the door. Fowler trailed by 2 early, evened the match up, and immediately dropped 3 straight holes. He was never in a position to win the match, lets be serious.
