WSOP Main Event - final table prop (yes, i'm serious) @ Cantor:
#7204 Russell Thomas +600
I'll preface this by admitting that i only took this prop because i wanted to have a sweat, but with that being said, i don't consider this a bad play at all. Thomas is a good player who is sitting "almost" second in chip (just barely behind Koroknai and Merson), and has been getting full-time live-in training by top tournament pro Jason Somerville (yeah i know, insert joke here) for the last month or so. Good value (or at least fair value) on this guy, i think.
PS - Last year i had Ben Lamb @ 6/1, only to watch him make the final 3 players with a decent-sized stack and then punt it away by going all-in preflop with KJ offsuit for no apparent reason. He ended up in a coin-flip for the chip lead when Stasko called with pocket 7's, but he bricked out and that was that. Hopefully a better result this year, lol.
