Wyndham Championship The Wyndham Championship is held at the Sedgefield CC in Greensboro, NC. The par 70 layout will play at 7,130 yards and it's these types of par 70's that have produced a couple of 59's this year!
The course is a hilly, tree lined track that offers generous fairways but decent rough to strangle errant shots.
A month ago, they were in very good shape but since then, greens in this area have really taken a hit. Bermuda rough will be very difficult but the course is not really long so way under par will be reachable once again. The weather calls for 90 plus with high humidity and a chance of T storms in the afternoons pretty much each day.
Ryan Moore is the defending champion and this week is the last chance for PGA Tour players to make the Fed Ex Cup Playoffs which start next week beginning with The Barclays.
There doesn't seems to be much interest in this event after "Bunkergate" but I expect the sportsbooks will post more with the Fed Ex Cup around the corner.
Garrett Willis -130 vs Steve Marino
Willis a North Carolina native, is playing solid golf lately with 5 Top 25's in his last L8 starts, his last four events T16, T15, T36 and T16 produced 10 rounds in the 60's.
Marino has fallen of the map this year and recently he missed the cut at the PGA Championship last week and prior to that he WD'd at the Greenbrier with back spasms.
