Zurich Classic of New Orleans

Zurich Classic of New Orleans The Zurich Classic of New Orleans is held at the TPC of Louisiana in Avondale, La. The par 72 layout measures 7,341 yards has bigger greens, wider fairways than Hilton Head last week, 71 bunkers and only 5 water hazards. There is a 30% chance of rain Friday and 60% on Sat that could hinder the tournament and make this track play even longer. Brian Davis -125 vs. Nick O'Hern Davis lost in a playoff last week. He'll feel good about it because he called a penalty on himself and has been getting e-mails, letters and just about everyone is patting him on the back. But, we noticed this streaky Englishman is back in form and swinging so well, we like his chances to contend again come Sunday. He finished T19 here last year and T33 in '08. O'Hern who is one of the shortest players off the tee on the PGA Tour, missed the cut LY in his only try in this event. Briny Baird -140 vs. Ryuji Imada Baird still looking for his first win on the PGA Tour played well again last week T12 and will like the bigger greens this week as he struggled to hit only 61% of his greens in regulation at Harbor Town Links. He'll be closer to 70% this week and make more birdies. Imada is probably the least maligned player on Tour. He quietly goes about his business but he has not been sharp, missed the cut last week and missed the cut 2 of the L3 times he teed it up in this tournament. 1st Round Matchup KJ Choi -135 vs. Rory Sabbatini KJ shot 64 in the first round last week. Yes, he coasted the rest of the tournament and cost us another bad beat having an 11 shot lead, but this matchup is a no brainer in class ratings alone. Sure, Sabs was runner up last year but he currently cannot hit any greens and is very erratic.
Thanks Alf, lets have another good week!

Choi was rolling along pretty good until he hit in the water on 9. We went from 2 stroke lead with 10 holes to play to all square. Hopefully we get it back.

KJ with the huge up and down out of the sand on 18 to snag the 1 stoke DUBBYA. Nice
Any idea how the cut line is determined? Is it the same for every tourney or does it vary in each one?
For every tourney I've seen it's the top XX and ties, so there is no tiebreaker to worry about. I don't know what the XX is, but I imagine it varies from tournament to tournament but is consistent with that tournament from year to year.
Any idea how the cut line is determined? Is it the same for every tourney or does it vary in each one?
"Most" of the time, it is approx. ~ the top 75. This tourney looks like cut will be at -1.
Looks like cut has moved back to Even which may give Baird another life
