$1 3/2 BJ

Buddy of mine is taking his kid to Vegas for the first time. Is there anywhere left that has this type BJ game, does not matter where it is he is just interested in showing his kid how it used to be and not lose a ton of money with the rookie! :)

Absolutely no chance. In fact, 3:2 BJ is an endangered species and is very hard to find under $15. El Cortez has ONE such table--there are a few others here and there.

There are a couple of places to play $1 BJ with horrible rules--even money on naturals. But assuming you can get a seat (usually quite a challenge), your loss per hour would be tiny.

I will stick to my 8/5 Bonus Poker I guess!  :) I think I play an ok 3/2 for $10 at the Orleans before 7 0r 8

The cheapest 3/2 blackjack is the $3 six deck game at the Poker Palace.  Poker Palace is a little rough even by North Las Vegas standards. You can get double deck $5 at Jerry's Nugget and Cabnery also in NLV.

Downtown Grand has a $1 game but it's even money on BJ.  They do also have $5 3/2 at the DTG.

Thanks! I will pass along, $5 is cool with them I am sure

The Poker Palace is fine as long as you wear full body armor, are vaccinated, and have a couple of attack dogs with you.

Last time I was there security had these little cones around a small area of the parking lot that appeared to be a murder scene and where out there taking pictures of it.  I saw a guy with down syndrome playing a slot, never seen that before.  The poker room I believe had a green carpet that probably was last vacuumed during the Reagan administration.  Rest of the casino had fake hardwood floors.

The one BJ game was dealt by the sorrriest breakout dealers ever.  The guy couldn't even shuffle.  No pit boss or anything just another breakout dealer who'd act as the floor person.  If one wanted they could spread $3-$50 with no sweat

Would an afternoon visit (when BJ table opens) be dangerous and/or stupid or ok if you keep a low profile and your mouth largely shut? I've been planning to stop Poker Palace on an upcoming trip. Thanks.

All kidding aside I think Poker Palace is safe and you'd be completely fine.  I personally feel safer there than I am walking busy parts of the strip.

Many thanks. I was hoping this was the case. Looking forward to it!
