3 card poker

I thought I'd try some 3 card poker next week on my trip (staying at Red Rock). Anyone have any thoughts/suggestions/stories?
the house edge is pretty high; over 5%. The general rule- if you're asked to make multiple bets before play at a game, the house edge will be higher on #2, then higher on #3. Let's see if the board confirms this is true for 3 card. Good luck!
Wizard of odds says hold/play any Queen and 8-- no less.
it used to be Queen/10

I love new decks-I catch a 3OAK or SF at least once a session, but not last week at South Point- did see one at my table, but it wasn't mine.lol-- good luck
Some times I get great cards and other times I get zip. It is a good change from bj. It is also an easy game to learn. I have it on my IPad.

I love 3 card. Its fun and you can play a long time without much money. I have had many great wins, and always find it enjoyable.
Well, my last 2 trips I have not been doing great at Pai Gow so I then move over to 3 card.

I have been doing great there!!!

It's a streaky game.

I have been trying a new technique recently that has gotten good results.

As you know, there are 3 spots to place your money on.

I have been betting big bucks on the number 2 spot.

I'm doing it when I'm on a good streak.

If your cards are higher than the dealer's,
whether he "qualifies" or not, you win.

If he does qualify and you still have better cards, you also win the number three spot too.

I won 8 hands in a row my last trip and in 2 of them I got a higher flush than the dealer had,
as well as staying with a jack 9 which beat the dealer's jack 5. LOL

Hey, I like to take chances. LOL

What I don't like is when I have people standing behind me looking at my cards as I
begin looking at them.

One guy was so close I could smell a banana
on his breath.

Monkey references always welcome..!!!
Thanks everyone! I'm going to try 3 card poker tonight! Last night I was all about craps. I held the dice for 45 minutes and it was awesome!
45 minutes! Wish I had been there. I love craps.

With the original pay tables, you were supposed to stay with Q-6-4. Now the pay tables are worse. Pioneer in Laghlin is the only casino I know of with full pay tables.
