Stations casinos use the dealer pushes on Q-high pai gow rule rather than the 5% collection on wins. It's just about exactly equivalent in terms of house edge, but the game moves faster.
You'll see the face up pai gow variation, but that game is much, much worse than regular PGP. Don't play it--it isn't even any fun, in addition to a higher house edge.
Thank you. I heard about the face up and read that it is no fun because you have no choice on how to set your hand. Half the fun is making the decision to split the pairs or not!
The Wizard of Odds indicates a .982 expected return for Face up Pia Gow and a .975 rexpected return for regular Pia Gow poker.
