Annoying dealers at the $5 table

I dont mind the soft sell of the side bets. Thats sorta their job....just like when the drive through clerk at McD's asks me if I want fries with that.

IT DOES AMAZE ME the number of people that actually play the side bets. Everytime I play craps there are people at the table who I know are educated about the game and are throwing money at bets they know have over a 10% house edge. And they play them anyway. last trip a guy kept playing the Big 6/8. I told him he would get paid better if he simply placed those numbers. He didn't want to. He liked the Big 6/8 because he could put the wager on the table himself instead of having the dealer do it.
I was like, "Damn! You Cray-cray! "

I told the same thing about playing the big 6/8 verses placing the 6 & 8 to a young couple on there honeymoon. A couple of 6's and 8's came out and I was able to show them the outcome difference...........for the next two hours they treated me like I knew what the hell I was doing and asked questions non stop! I don't normally mind answering a question for a newbie, but I don't want to make a night out of it
place a porn slapper card as a side bet for them, that will hush them up.

Noahcat and I would hands the slapper cards to Time Share Hawks as they approached us... great way to make them back-off.
A dealer told me that side bets decrease the amount of tips they get. Instead of making a bet for the dealer, the player puts money on the side bet. I rarely put money on the side bets since they are "sucker bets" and make dealer bets instead. These dealers work really hard and have to put up with a lot of crap. I have noticed that the younger players don't tip.

I think that it's unfortunately possible that these younger players don't know that they should also be tipping the dealer although they might know about tipping the cocktail waitresses.
