a situation very similar to this occurred in atlantic city several years ago-----it involved leonard tose who owned both a trucking company as well as the phila eagles------he ran up markers and did not want to pay them off stating he was too drunk to know what he was doing----further claimed that the casino should have stopped serving him drinks since he was visibly intoxicated and by law are obligated to stop serving-----further claimed that they purposely piled him with drinks so he could lose-----if memory serves.he was playing blackjack-----do not remember the name of the casino for certain but believe it was the now closed sands----the lawsuit was followed closely both in ac and vegas since it was considered a case of first impression, since no gambler had previously won a case against a casino under those circumstances-----I am not certain but believe the case was filed in state court as opposed to federal-----tose lost his case and eventually filed for bankruptcy-------fairly certain the amount involved was more than this one------a million or more and not all markers were from the same day of gambling but cumulative-----
