Any new player signups or promotions for July?

So I did a Vegas trip back in June, and I think I exhausted just about everything from LVA coupon book, plus all of the new Casino member sign-ups (both Strip, Downtown, and slightly off-Strip). I think the only one I have left is Arizona Charlie's (the LVA freeplay and their spin/win after 25 slot points).

Anything new in July that anyone is aware of? I'm from out of state and coming back this Wed/Th staying at the Palms. I was going to hit up Tuscany but it looks like I won't be able to get anything out of their deal.

I was hoping to get some more freebies, but really just looks like I'll just have to hit up AZC and then go play Joker Poker at Plaza...

I don't know of anything worthwhile, at least anything new, but I would watch LVA's "Vegas News" daily just in case.

If you're looking for deals for play, the best one extant is the Four Queens slot/VP promo, which will net you a return of about 2.7% when slot club benefits are included. Can't beat that.

I may do that, especially as I was going to head downtown anyway and park at 4Q. I don't particularly enjoy Double Bonus poker though, unfortunately, but I may end up brushing up on it to at list hit the first Freeplay payout.

You can play 9/6 JOB and still do well with the promo. You'll net about 0.5% less in EV, but the game is much easier than DB if you're not familiar with DB strategy.

Oh, and you really need to get to at least the second of the three goals (600 points, $40 total FP) to make this play worthwhile. I would recommend, though, that if you get that far, you keep going, as at that juncture, you would essentially be getting 100 FP + 50 comps for another 600 points earned.

Awesome, may do just that as I know JoB quite well!

Consult VpFree2 for the exact locations of the machines that offer that game. You MIGHT be able to get on the one (or two; I forget) 50 cent denom JOBs, but it will probably be a .25 exercise. The machines in the alcove near the sports book/bar are in a bit quieter setting than the JOBs near the cashier.

1,200 points takes $9,600 coin-in, which is 8,000 hands, so you have no real chance of maximizing the promo in a single day. What I did was play about five hours on one day, use the comps I earned with that play to have a great dinner at Magnolia's, then I finished up the following day.

I played about half JOB and half DB, and I had a better-than-expected $130 net profit on my play (especially considering I had no royals). The quad gods smiled during a rather epic one-hour burst at DB :)

There are plenty of $.50 JoB. A bunch next to the fishing slots against the east wall and half a dozen or so by the cage.

Yeah this is a great strategy. I used the LVA coupon book for Magnolia's dinner last time I was there and the Prime Rib was great!

Glad to hear you got some quads :) 8k hands is a lot, I may just go for the 50 cent machine JoB and see what happens...

Good to know. I've tended to hit the .25 DB for their promos, because I find JOB to be a snoozefest and I have the DB strategy down pat.

If your at the Palms, play M-F 8am till noon and receive two brunch buffets after putting on 500 points. It doesn't take long and the brunches are $ 32 each for free.
