banning of players for winning?

am curious if anyone has heard of video poker or keno players banned from a casino for winning? a few years ago heard of a guy being banned for winning 3 wins of 28,000 over a few weeks playing video keno.
he was playing four card keno/seven spot at 16 per spin.

am curious if others have heard of this and which casinos do it?

I know a couple of people who have been cut off -- no offers -- but don't personally know anyone who has been banned. It wouldn't surprise me, though. A recent Jean Scott blog addressed this issue.

If casinos are banning players from winning then I should start getting offers from every casino on the strip since I can never seem to win there.

Suncoast threw out a number of players who had the audacity to use the 10x point coupons that were printed in the Coast Connection newspaper supplement.

Stations/Fiestas have routinely "no mailed" those players who win.

Boyd properties have "no mailed" players who only play the better machines and/or play on multiple point days.

Rampart has "no mailed" winning players.

So the answer is a resounding YES...

"No mail" is not the same as banning. The original poster asked about banning. I suspect people don't get 86'd for winning unless the casino thinks they cheated. They DO, however, get "no mailed," as Don said. Or as Stations calls it, "DNI" -- do not invite.

Not always. I know someone who is DNI at Aliante, yet he still comes in and plays the FPDW there.

I think what Don means is that for smart players it means the same.

Charlie Sheen is probably banned because he is a winner.
