banning of players for winning?

"No mail" is not the same as banning. The original poster asked about banning. I suspect people don't get 86'd for winning unless the casino thinks they cheated. They DO, however, get "no mailed," as Don said. Or as Stations calls it, "DNI" -- do not invite.

I wonder why I get offers. EVERY Royal I have hit in my life except one, has been at a Station or Fiesta. I am a net long term winner at Palace, GVR, Red Rock and Fiesta Henderson.

I don't believe they "DNI" you for hitting royals, Vegasvp. I can think of 2 people who have been cut off. One plays .25 full-pay deuces exclusively and is considered an advantage player. He also used to play blackjack and was suspected of counting, I believe.

The other won lots of drawings -- cars, multi-thousand-dollar prizes, etc. It's easy to understand why he did, since he played so much that he had huge numbers of entries in each drawing. But the casino made him "DNI," anyway.

Two of Jean Scott's blogs this month talk about this whole subject. Just go to her blog and look at "archives." Click on March 2011.
Bigfus was telling me about a player who was "Titanium" at Borgata who used to play high stakes BJ until he found dollar or $5.00 Multi-Strike and went on a mad crazy winning streak--- they threatened to take his Titanium card away-- and he said : Don't care. Fine w/ me...
They let him keep it.

I mean if they have the game in that denom.--- who's fault is it?

I don't know or care about the perks of titanium but assume it's like 7 stars.
there has always been a prejudice against winners, whether it's legal gambling or not. The difference between 86 ing and DNI or no-mailing, is covered elsewhere. It is also possible to be backed off, almost exclusively from blackjack but possibly from craps, if you insist on setting dice and go big. I dont see this distinction here, so I will make it for completeness: There is no law against counting cards, and no law against setting dice. The businesspeople dont like it when you take a coupon winnings out the door, either. So, be good at what you do. and, Good Luck!

The prejudice against winners reflects the chip-hiding strategy forwarded by my old Bible, "Comp City." It is amazing how smiley fine many pit bosses are after you've played for two hours at $100 a hand and he thinks you've lost $400 or $500 vs. when he thinks you've won $400 or $500.
I think that happened to me at GVR after 3 big winning trips there...their special offers just stopped. Fortunately, RR started and I've now had 3 big winning trips there (last one was for 12K), but they invited me back for April and July with some nice free play. And GVR is now back on the bandwagon too.
Just wondering, does anybody know how Harrahs treats their winners?
Hah, winning at Harrah's... thats a good one. They'll move BJ down to 1:1 and all their VP down to under 94% if there were suddenly winners.

After that I'd assume it would be storm troopers, then Darth & the Death Star makes a visit to your planet.

My Harrahs & Caesars wins have been met with nothing but Nice reactions.
(I"m talking about w2g wins)
Very professional & happy for me. My Offers remain the same.
Honestly,
I think there's a big diference between winning on machines and tables-
machines are set.. the theo loss % is set in so any win is met w/ congrats by floor people who might get tipped large.
Cranky table pit bosses (are there any other kind?!?) always seem like it's their money you're leaving with
