Best place to play Low limit craps?

Since Chilcoot made mention of this, I think that Weggie means that people should have the Dealer "Place The 6 and/or 8" instead of the Player putting money on the Big 6 and/or Big 8. If these numbers are placed by the Dealer, if you bet $6 (that's the correctl amount for placing the 6 and/or 8), if the number that you're betting on comes in, you will be paid an additional $7 whereas if you put money on the Big 6 and/or Big 8, if you place $6 there and the number comes in, you will be paid an additional $6 (Even-Money). So which would you rather be paid -- $6 or $7? If your answer is $7, then have the Dealer place the 6 and/or 8.

The thing with the Big 6 or Big 8 (at least as far as I know) is that you can bet any amount on it (as long as you qualify at least overall for the minimum bet) and you will get paid Even Money (1 To 1) for it. It's a bad bet!

I didn't see any tables with Big 6 or Big 8 on them last week.

$5 tables at Rio, Gold Coast, Palms, Bally's, Harrahs last week, those were the only places I played craps. There was actually room at the $3 table at Casino Royale but I didn't play there.

Wow, well that's incredible, I stand corrected. Big 6 and Big 8 are such great moneymakers for the casino (16.67% edge), I can't imagine why those casinos don't offer it.



What did they do with the space those bets usually occupy? Something even more house-friendly?

They pretty much just make the Don't Pass areas connected. It wasn't that long ago where Big 6 and 8 were on every table. As you said it's a tremendous money maker for the casinos. I'm sure there are still some tables out there that have them. Perhaps downtown, I didn't go down there this trip.
