The Best Slot Club for Us

True Rewards is the best slot club for me and my wife. Why? We are both at the Legit tier so we get 4x points every time we play at the Aquarius (sometimes we choose the 4x point day and sometimes they do). We get vouchers for two drinks and one food item at Duet or The Cove bar every week. We can turn the vouchers in for 7500 in slot club points.

The Southpoint gives you one point for every dollar through the machines. $1,000.00 gets you 1000 points that gives you $3.00 in cash back, free play or comps. $2,000.00 gets you 2000 points that gives you $6.00 cash back, free play or comps.

The Aquarius gives you one point for every two dollars through the machines. $2,000.00 gets you 4000 points that gives you $4.00 cash back, $8.00 free play or $13.33 in comps with the 4x multiplier.

The 7500 points for the food and drink vouchers gives you $7.50 in cash back, $15.00 in free play or $25.00 in comps.

The Aquarius gives us free play every week for each month of the year. It varies in amount every month depending on your play.

If you play $120,000.00 annually through the machines you can't get a better slot club pay back than this. $60,000 through the machines gets you to Solid which gives you 3x points but no vouchers. That's still better than Southpoint.

The Aquarius is now charging for parking in their garage. We don't know how much since we'll never pay to park (there is a QR code that you have to access at each space in order to pay for the parking). They have some free parking spaces for Legit and Epic players, but not many. They still have free handicapped parking which we are able to take advantage of. The paid parking happened at the same time that long time VP and general manager Sean Hammond inexplicably quit. Coincidence??? Right now we're wondering if the slot club will be downgraded along with the advent of paid parking in the garage.

I don't doubt any of what you are saying about Aquarius as I've never been there but isn't Southpoint every $1000 through gets you 1000 points and that is worth $3?

Thanks Jerry,

I have changed the amounts. May the royals be with you.

The rather large difference between South Point and Aquarius is that the former has LOTS of very good video poker, including many NSUD (99.73%) games, while the Aquarius has exactly four machines that pay over 99% (9/6 Jacks).

So you'll lose four times as much playing the same amount at Aquarius compared to South Point. In the past, Aquarius has been fairly generous with room offers, and South Point rather stingy. Don't know what it's like currently.

Actually, the Aquarius has fourteen single line 9/6 JoB. They're all in the rear no smoking section overlooking the river. How many of the single line 9/6 JoB machines at Southpoint are in a no smoking section? The rear no smoking area at Aquarius goes about 150 feet to the cage and includes the sportsbook. There are two entry doors that open regularly so where I play is actually smoke free. That is priceless.

I'm not going to pretend that I understand your math that says I'll lose four times as much playing the same amount. There are no absolutes or guarantees of winning or losing when playing video poker. Playing the same game at each casino would be a wash. Only the slot club makes a difference. Dare I say that the Aquarius slot club is the best locals club in Nevada? Definitely!

We still get mailers with free rooms, but only for the concerts. We get a room anytime we want by calling our executive host.

My last visit to Aquarius, there were only four of those machines, in the location you describe. There may be more now. You're correct, if you played those exclusively, you would only lose twice as much than if you played NSUD at South Point. However, since SP pays 0.3% for its slot club no matter what, you'd need to score 0.5% from the Aquarius (TW) slot club to do as well. And if your play at SP generates room offers, that makes it a very good play.

I agree that True Rewards is a good slot club. I just wonder how long the Aquarius will have those few decent machines, given that they mowed down their bank of 100% machines a year ago. Also, if you get tired of playing JOB at Aquarius, there are no other decent plays in the entire town.

In contrast, SP has hundreds of good machines and many other worthwhile places to go.

Mrs. Don and I used to go down to the Aquarius every month to play the $1 10/7 Double Bonus games with a progressive for the royal and a progressive for 4 aces.

They downgraded the machines to 9/7 around the end of 2017 and we stopped going.

The Aquarius still has a bank of five $1 10/6 DDB with progressives for the royal and 4 aces with the kicker. A friend of mine plays them each month when he is in town and takes a drive down. Very volatile.
