Best VP hand you were dealt?

Was dealt a Royal on a triple play machine, unfortunately it was only a 5 cent machine!

Was dealt a Royal at Ballys on $1 a few years ago.... Of interest: I hit max bet, the cards were dealt, the machine immediately locked-up with "Jackpot, Call Attendant" and started playing that great little IGT carnival song. I did not get the option to Hold the cards and then hit Draw. I had a dream one time that I was dealt a Royal, got excited and accidentally hit draw before I could hold all the cards... good to know the machine makes it a no-brainier.

Was also dealt 4-aces w/kicker on $1 DDB last year. I did have to Hold and Draw, then the darn machine asked me if I wanted to "Double UP? Yes or No". Then that dream popped up in my head!

If I sit down at a machine and it isn't making any noise, I will move to a different one. Good thing I didn't do that at the Del Mar bar top machines. The one I was dealt the four aces w/kicker was silent. When you have had a few too many drinks it's good that a machine will ding when you have a paying hand.

My God dhoppell you have been blessed by the VP Gods (and maybe a barrel of glitter).

Just this year alone I have:

1. been dealt 2 royals at the .50 level. (4 queens and Harrah's NOLA)

2. Re-dealt a royal at the .50 level.

3. Dealt aces at the $1 level (ddb) w/o kicker and I drew the kicker for $2k.

4. Dealt AWAK at the .50 level.

Additionally I was sitting next to a woman at Aria back in August and she drew a $1 royal.

4 dealt royals in 39 trips. 3 .50 and one .25. 3 were in a 3 trip time frame 2007 and 2008. This has led to my current 7 trip drought. I totally emptied the luck bank.

Probably the best hand I was dealt was 4 garbage cards and a single Ace (playing Dollar DDB),


.......... which I held the Ace,

................... and I drew 3 more Aces with the Kicker for a $2,000 payoff,

............................... which enabled me to play the $5 Deuces Wild game in the High Limit area,


..................................... and I then hit 4 Deuces for $5K !!!!!!!!

I'm pretty sure the luck demonstrated in these comments is a little on the end of the curve. Having said it..... My first dealt royal was at LVH about 5 years ago. Never thought I'd see another. Summer of 2010, dealt one at 4Q. Sure I'd never see another. This spring at 4q- same machine, same suit. Lets just say I get sorta nervous at 4q if someone else is sitting at My Machine. Good Luck!
