I've never played bingo in a casino, but a recent post here piqued my interest. A couple of questions:
1) Are cocktails typically comped while playing?
2) Are the numbers visually displayed as well as announced? (If I play on my next trip, it'll probably be at night after imbibing most of the day.)
There's a bar and a cocktail waitress, and you can get a drink before playing; typically, she'll also circulate around the room once taking orders after the session starts. The drinks are free.
There are several display boards around the hall; no matter where you are, at least one will be easily visible.
The pace of the games is pretty fast, so don't buy very many cards. In fact, I recommend you buy in for the minimum. If you get paper rather than electronic cards, you'll need a dauber, which you can get for $1 or so from vending machines in the hall. (Don't go with the electronic cards, as the minimum buyin is significantly higher.)
Also ignore any special games or "validation" for some kind of bonus. Keep it simple first time around. Have a drink and relax.
BTW if you go late at night when you'll have few opponents, you'll be playing at a mathematical advantage!
