Black Jack Newbie

Every BJ player should make a trip to The El Cortez on Fremont St. Its one of the oldest casinos in Vegas and one of the few that is truly old school. It has a great $3 double deck game that is perfect for beginners, and even has $5 Single Deck that pays 3-2. It also has an outstanding steakhouse where dinner for two will run you less than $50 if you use the LVA couponbook.
As a rule, MGM properties have better Bj than Harrahs properties, but most of the good games require a $25 minimum on the strip.
Off-strip,most Stations and Fiestas offer good $5 fgames, as does the gold Coast and Orleans. Terribles has a good game you can combine with the LVA $100 slot loss rebate to make a nice afternoon out of.
Sahara has $1 BJ, but a natural only pays even money so itss not that great a game. Can be fun for beginners. Downtown The Fitz has a $2 game, but its not nearly as good as the $3 El Cortez game.
Thanks billryan,
We go to Freemont st a few times when we're out there. We are learning more each year we come out there. Glad we became LVA members. You people on the forum are a great help. Thanks
If you want a place offstrip that's not too bad, I think that the 2 Deck game at Terrible's is not too bad.

And Virtual Blackjack (as long as it's paying 3 To 2) is not a bad option (especially if a slot club card can be used) either. They can be found in both Downtown and on the Strip. But check the machines called "Bet The Set 21" carefully to make sure that Player Blackjacks are paying 3 To 2 and DO NOT BET on that Bet The Set 21 sidebet.
