Bob Dancers VP classes.

I see he has one this week at South Pointe.
Has anyone ev er attended one? Any good?

My sister and I attended one many years ago when he still did them at the Silverton and we really enjoyed it. He's very informal and likes to go around the room so everyone gets a chance to participate.
We'd love to attend another one, but they never coincide with our trips anymore.

I'm lucky. I'm staying at South Point and the class is the first day I'm there. Was it crowded? I have a basic knowledge of the game and would hate to sit thru a class that explains the basics- you draw five cards, ect.

My wife and I go to his class every year(at least for the last three years now). It's held in the Grandview lounge and It's not crowded. It's in a pretty big lounge. My wife and I enjoy the class and we learn a little more each time we go. Like mentioned earlier, he puts up a "hand" on the big screen and goes around the room and asks for the correct play or answer. If you don't know it he'll move to the next person.

We only went to the one class, but it was well attended.

It's not as basic as "you get dealt 5 cards". He teaches the "rules". He'll put up an example hand - you have to tell him what you hold and WHY (that WHY part will really make you think). I'm pretty sure you'll learn something - and if not, you'll only have invested about an hour and a half (he also gives away door prizes!).

I don't know if he does it the same way now, but he'll have a class on Double Double Bonus, for example. After the first class, he'll have an "advanced" class on the same game - these really are advanced and sometimes focuses on "penalty" cards and exact strategies.

I attended the class and the next day I hit a royal flush on my very first hand.Was dealt king of hearts plus king thru ten of spades. Dumped the king and drew an ace for an $1199 payout.
