After reading that both the Cannery casinos have loss rebate programs and they use different cards so you could sign up at both, I went during our last trip in Dec.
I found out the hard way the rebate is set up for locals...they post your loss rebate to your card 7 days after you earn it and the credit is only good for 2 weeks!!! so unless your on a 7+ day trip and use it the first day, or live there...your outta luck. Promotional signage and description from desk people is vague and it took reading the fine print and returning to the desk for clarification to get the real story...also if your a new signup you have to choose either the loss rebate promotion or a free spin for freeplay (most likely $5).
The palms loss rebate is tough too with a small amount paid 1-3 days after you earn it then, 2 more larger portions, one that has to be claimed at least 14 days later up to 6 months, then 6 months to a year for the final payback. certain machines like the fullpay VP don't count and the terms make up a good page of info.
The best loss rebate last trip was Tropicana, who couldn't find my wife in the computer and gave her a new card. She was too freaked out playing high bet VP so I used her card and hit 4 dueces for $400 on the $1 BP machines near the high limit room. This makes 2 out of 3 times we won trying their loss rebate promo. When we go back I'm going to show my new TX drivers license and see if I can get it again (love playing with a safety net)
Personally I miss the Riviera $1000 loss rebate I got in on last year...it was awesome..cashing it out on video roulette was easy too.
