Casino ratings on Blackjack

My wife & I play mostly B/J & I noticed on my totals for points that we only received 2 Slot points each. My question is-How do casinos rate slot play. Is it the amount of what we wager. We play an average of $10 to $15 /hand
Where do you play, and is this a change from the points you were used to?

MGM has changed their rules as far as Express Comps, if that is what you are referring to.

Express comps are no longer earned in Las Vegas at MGM table play.

Still earned in Mississippi (Gold Strike, Beau Rivage), but no longer in Vegas.

As for ratings points, again it would depend on where you play and for how long. Some places don't rate under $25 a hand. Or, they'll take your card, but it takes a lot of time at play over the table minimum to rate much.
We normally play @ Boyd casino's (Orleans, Gold Coast, & Cal, & we both play for a few hours. Is it better to ask for a comp after a few hours of play or just forget being rated on B/J.
Where did you see this report of your comp points? 2 slot points? That is like, just a few minutes of play on a slot or VP machine.

You can ask them how you are rated at tables. They might tell you.

Otherwise, play for at least 4 hours at the same table at your $10-$15 a hand. Be sure you have handed over your players card when you sit down. As you play, chat up the dealer and pit supervisor real friendly, and tip the dealer now and then. When you have a chance (like when others at the table aren't paying attention), QUIETLY ask the dealer "could we get a buffet comp?" Dealer will call the pit person over and say "They want to know if they can get a comp to the buffet." The pit person will say yes and write you the comp (or enter it on your card). Or he might say sorry, no. I haven't played at Orleans, Gold Coast, or Cal, but I'd bet you could get a comp after 4 straight hours of play and being nice about everything, which I'm sure you are!

Of course, if you don't like the dealer or how the cards are going, move until you do. If you move to a table in the same pit, gently signal the pit guy that he has your card, you are staying in the same pit. If you change pits you have to give them your card all over again. So get a fix early on whether you think you'll stay at a table. Don't waste time at a bad table (rude dealer, bad cards coming out continuously). I'm sure you know all this.

I can't sit for 4 hours. maybe 2 at the most. I play mostly pai-gow, and some BJ at Boyd's but it does look like my card score goes up after my pai-gow sessions. $16-21 per hand including bonus bets. I rarely ask for a comp, sometimes I will ask for a pack of smokes just for the heck of it. i give those away when i get back home as a souvenir with the Nevada state stamp. the smokers love it.
For the last several years my brother and I have been going to the Orleans once a year. We play their 2 deck BJ at $5.00 per hand. Sometimes we play 2 hands. We have never had to pay for a meal at Orleans. After a couple of hours we ask for a buffet. After that we usually get a Prime Rib Loft or Cafe comp. We also get coupons in the mail to stay there free.

That sounds like as good a deal as you'll ever get in Vegas for $5 a hand. Enjoy it while it lasts.
I saw the table points on the website in my account. My wife has the same problem. I am considering playing B/J @ other properties. As I play $10-15/hand & my wife plays $5-10.
