Where did you see this report of your comp points? 2 slot points? That is like, just a few minutes of play on a slot or VP machine.
You can ask them how you are rated at tables. They might tell you.
Otherwise, play for at least 4 hours at the same table at your $10-$15 a hand. Be sure you have handed over your players card when you sit down. As you play, chat up the dealer and pit supervisor real friendly, and tip the dealer now and then. When you have a chance (like when others at the table aren't paying attention), QUIETLY ask the dealer "could we get a buffet comp?" Dealer will call the pit person over and say "They want to know if they can get a comp to the buffet." The pit person will say yes and write you the comp (or enter it on your card). Or he might say sorry, no. I haven't played at Orleans, Gold Coast, or Cal, but I'd bet you could get a comp after 4 straight hours of play and being nice about everything, which I'm sure you are!
Of course, if you don't like the dealer or how the cards are going, move until you do. If you move to a table in the same pit, gently signal the pit guy that he has your card, you are staying in the same pit. If you change pits you have to give them your card all over again. So get a fix early on whether you think you'll stay at a table. Don't waste time at a bad table (rude dealer, bad cards coming out continuously). I'm sure you know all this.
