Casino Royal

Any opinion about this place

Opps This is douple quote. How do I delete this one?
nmterlv, Welcome to the boards!

They have the best craps anywhere in town with 100X odds, it's usually hard to find a space at the table, go early. BJ rules and limits are good but can change at a moments notice, like every where else. I cannot speak about vp and slots. The hotel is a rundown motel type. I have a buddy who can stay anywhere but when he is solo he stays there because he can be from his room to the Strip in one minute. The entire casino is always in party mode and everyone has fun in this dump.

Edit one of your threads to read "double post sorry" we have all done it.

Last year or so they expanded and cleaned the place up. Not as cramped. Only place on the strip that has $.25 Bonus poker as well as other decent VP pay scales. Lots of food choices from Subway to Outback. Not bad comps. They used to have decent monthly coupons but discontinued the VP ones. Rooms are clean and simple. Like Rockymet commented you are on the strip in a minute and centrally located. The place is loud and smoky though.
Always enjoy playing there. Craps worth a visit if you can get on a good table (not all have the 100x odds). Haven't been since they cleaned it up a little, It always seems to stink around the Subway area (maybe the vinegar?) hopefully that is better.

We have a love/hate relationship with Casino Royale. I love it and my wife hates it. Seriously, everybody is having fun, lots of $5min tables for different games, the only place in Vegas where they have what I call "aggressive" free drink service...even if you're not playing..., $1 bottles at the bar if you want one for the strip, and it's in a really great location on the strip. I always have fun playing there. They did expand a bit recently.--Joe
I Love it, what I am reading here.. whooo hoooo!

Lound, smokey, somewhat a dive, and everyone having FUN!!!!

Sounds like our kind of place.

My wife loves the dives, not the Slots of Fun kind of dives, but dives with a little bit of character.

We'll be at the Flamingo, and any of our strip play sounds like it will be there.

Years ago, what is now Bills Gambling hall was OK, but now it is owned by Harrah's with the lousy VP and lousy 0.044 cash back. We may play some Pia Gow poker there if the price is right at the tables.

The Flamingo is not going to give me any mailers to come back, due to NO PLAY there, ha ha, too bad. But maybe we will get some mailers for the Orleans or MSS downtown, with the play we will do there.

We call this place The Royale with Cheese (from "Pulp Fiction"). Their craps is good, but they do not have normal blackjack of any sort, 6:5 single deck, BJ switch, etc. Their VP is one step below optimum, 9/7 DB, 8/5 Bonus. I play $1 DB there for, like, 3 hours a trip and get so much comp money (it is to Outback and Denny's, but still), I never spend it all. Also free room offers for each month. Also cashback.

Lots of people hate it. But I have been going there for years and years, and if you like to play VP, it is basically the only decent VP left on The Strip.

Thanks Deadeye...

This confirms what I thought, only place left on the strip to play.

And on the Strip, this is will we play
I like it here in the morning, I can get a coffee and a smile with-in minutes. While playing VP. They give me 25 bucks everytime I go. Cant beat it.
Actually will depend on what denomination you play. The best Casino Royale offers in VP is 8/5 Bonus Poker at .25 and up. TI offers 9/6 JOB at .50 and above.

As far as fun we agree. We used to stay at Venetian where we were comped for our VP play (when they used to have $1 9/6 JOB). Sometimes, in afternoon, I would play BJ at $25 a hand. Was told by our host fine to play but DONT give them my card, it was hurting my average and comps!

So wife and I went next door to Casino Royale and took $100 in $5 each. An occassional sad sack dealer but for the most part lively table and we had a ball. We both ended down just a few bucks, I think $20 or so between us, but played nearly two hours and had a ball.
