I'm starting to suspect its used to upset the Karma. How many people have had the dice changed on you because of a shift change, especially in the middle of a roll. How many years has this been going on?

I don't play craps. But it sounds similar to how a good run of cards at blackjack can suddently go south when the dealer goes on break. Dealer returns, things get better. Makes no sense but it sure seems to happen.
dice change all the time. Frequently the shooter will bounce them out of the table whereupon they must be inspected before being used again. Sometimes they’ll allow the shooter to wait for that inspection to complete and use them again....sometimes not.
All in all things like that are motivated by ensuring uncorrupted gaming - not because they want to kill your luck streak. Players might be superstitious but the House is not.
If a table gets hot for to long then you will see different dealers show up. doesn't make a difference what game it is. at roulette in one of the station casino's a player got hot and soon had all the chips in his pile.more players joined in and soon you saw new dealers coming in 5 in all till the table cooled off
