Comps for Table Play

Thanks!!!
Congratulations, FFlowers on your smart and disciplined Blackjack play! I'm sure that you can see that the study and practice that were involved were literally worth it! And I hope that you're understanding mathematically (percentage-wise) why the strategy chart tells you to do what it does -- most especially when the Dealer has a Low Up-Card showing (for purposes of Doubling Down And Splitting Pairs).

Restricting play only to games with high returns (or low casino advantages) can definitely help to increase players' chances of possibly winning or losing less and this can very well end up happening more often than not.

Congrats, FFlowers on your Blackjack victories at Bellagio! Awesome!!

$55 average bet for 10 hours of play is bound to get you on the comp mailer list. Be sure to sign up on the Bel website, too.

I bet one of those bosses would have hand written you a breakfast comp for the buffet or cafe if you'd asked.

You did good!!!
Thanks Candy for your good wishes and your encouragement! I think it was you on another thread that had mentioned that B had good BJ rules at $15/hand, depending on the time of day and that was the hook I need to give the Lady Bell a try.

I really do hope I get some good offers, even if it's just for comped rooms. I am a CET gal but it would be nice to have 2-3 comped nights at the Bell, especially as I plan to return to the exact same BJ table in August. (A dealer told me the 25 table where I played is always there at some point during the day and with the same rules. It looks like the minimums start going up around 9 pm.)

FFlowers, I seldom play after 8 pm (hungry husband), and I can tell you that they will raise the minimum at a table consistently getting a lot of play, which usually starts in late afternoon. But they are good to grandfather.

Since you were playing well into graveyard, did they ever LOWER the minimum? When we walk through going to breakfast around 7:30-8 am there aren't a dozen players total at all the tables, dealers standing in wait.

As for not counting a second buy in, I always make sure the boss knows when I've bought in again (not my husband, though...LOL.
Yes, they definitely got the second buy in and I made sure of it though the pit boss, a woman at that point who was very nice, got it.

I understand that they kept the table minimum after 3 am because that table -- that section actually -- normally closes around 3 or 4 am but because i had been playing they couldn't close it. LOL. They kept the minimum at 100 to discourage any new players. Indeed, after I stopped playing -- I think it was approaching 6 am -- they closed the table. LOL.

I just looked at the photo of my four yellow and two black chips. So pretty and it was so nice turning them in for cash at the cage. I hope to do a repeat in August!
Wow. You make a great case for basic strategy! But, I don't carry a big bankroll, and the joints that might comp me for less action, I probably already get love. FYI even if the pit boss wasn't there when you left with a win, the tally probably got done by your dealer who has come to expect a pit boss wanting the payout figure. You've probably heard dealers calling the pit boss with color up, and with checking in figures, and it's the boss's job to enter it. Having said that, does it cost us anything other than minutes to ask a 'rating' ? It's not like you're mooching a buffet; making sure they track your play right is recommended by lots of experts. Congrats and good luck!
