Do Not Disturb High Rollers

Strolling through the nearby Rivers casino last week, I was fascinated to see two men seated at a $100 blackjack table. Apparently I was a bit too interested since several minutes later, a female pit boss walked over and quietly asked me to step away.
This sort of surprised me given I was several feet away and not as if I was making any comments
("Oh no, you don't want to hit a 12 when the dealer's got a 6 showing...") Rather, I had the feeling someone on a losing streak would use anything as an excuse to get up and leave and the casino would lose money. This wasn't anywhere near the High Limit Room either.

That's pretty amazing Tim. Why would anyone care that you are watching as long as you aren't commenting or hovering right by them. Ridiculous.
Maybe this is something like the casino might be afraid that someone is checking a High Roller out for nefarious reasons.

Hard to say, but since she noticed you hanging around.........it may have bothered her, or them.
They might have said something, or the Dealer noticed? Security in the sky noticed?

I know when Someone is hanging around behind me "just watching", and they Think I don't notice, and Think its not bothering me?

Well, it does.

Just sayin.

Yes if I was that wealthy it would bother me too, ah but I am not, lucky me.
Tim;

What are the minimums in the high limit area? Seems to me if they have $100 tables in there and someone doesnt want anyone "hanging around" then would play there. But choosing to play on the floor instead its rather presumptuous to expect "privacy".
The casino might of had a problem with crooks casing out the players and robbing them in the parking lot/hotel/bathroom, etc and just have a "move along nothing to see here" policy. You just in the wrong place and wrong time.
Maybe they thought you were backcounting the deck.

Other than that, I don't like people hanging around or staring when I am playing black chips.
I have had too many incidents of being followed and or harrassed.
Come to think of it, this has not happened in Las Vegas. Mostly in Atlantic City, once at Mohegan Sun.
I hate when people hover over my shoulder while I am playing. It is annoying at the slots, at craps and at blackjack. If you want to linger and watch, go watch the pirate show or the fish tanks, not my game!
Count me as one who dislikes being watched from behind for more than half a minutes or so-slots, blackjack, denomination, doesn't matter.

Sounds like the player(s) had the good sense to ask a supervisor to handle it rather than be confrontational with you.
