In local casinos in Missouri, they have stopped all drink service. I guess the theory being that you have to remove your mask to drink. Im wondering what Vegas is doing. How is the service both by waitresses and at bar tops?

Was last in Vegas over Thanksgiving. Drink service at tables and machines was good. If drinking while playing I just pulled my mask up or down or sideways to take a sip, with or without a straw. Didn't take me long to get used to doing so, didn't bother me. Everybody was doing the same as far as I could tell.
Of course things can change at any minute.

Last time I was in Vegas, 90% of the people who were drinking used that as an excuse to keep their masks pulled down or not wear them altogether. Nobody said or did anything about it. Ditto smoking.
Actually the problem in Missouri is basically St Louis county. No ordering of drinks or drinking anything in Hollywood casino. Across the river at Ameristar there are not the same restrictions. No drinking but smoking is ok??? WTF?
My experience with Drink Service in Vegas in December was that it was better than ever. Fewer customers means the cocktail servers have fewer people to make the rounds to. If anything it got to be annoying when somebody was askling me for a drink every 30 seconds. But to the extent I wanted something they were Johny-on-the-spot just about everywhere I went.
I concur with P.J. I have made 5 trips to Vegas since June, the last one 10 days ago, and I have found the drink service to be as good if not better than it has been for a long time. Knowing how difficult these trying times are presently, I find that I also tip more than in the past in an effort to help those who are trying to make ends meet.
